Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Sunset Vinyasa Flow Yoga – “Let the Breath move you”.

Join Stephanie for 90 minutes of an energising Sunset Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice. Surrender and release your busy Monday and take some time out to slow down with some Soulful Yoga. You’ll find balance for your mind and body, giving yourself time to recharge and relax peacefully. Also a great cleansing flush for your internal organs!

We practice connecting our breath to movement and a combination of continually flowing breath-led sequences. This allows us to enjoy the calming effects of a moving meditation with an active flow, allowing us to deepen one’s openness and wakefulness. The perfect way to end your day peacefully, boosting your mind & body into a clearer conscious state of being.

We focus on finding calm and balance through breathing techniques and meditation, classic yoga postures and flow. This helps with improving strength and flexibility, concentration, wellness and health.

What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a style of yoga suitable for the more active yogi. Vinyasa is both challenging and dynamic, led by breath and movement that are synchronised in a graceful, flowing sequence. Often set to uplifting music, you build strength, cardiovascular fitness and enhanced awareness of the mind/body connection. You will experience a full body workout that will strengthen and stretch your entire body, leaving you feeling amazing, both physically and mentally.

Vinyasa means “to place with special awareness and intention”. Flow suggests movement that is continuous, smooth and unbroken. Vinyasa Flow is a popular form of modern yoga that draws from traditions including Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, as well as martial arts and dance. While class pace, style and intensity vary, emphasis is placed on harmonising the movements of the body and breath in creative sequences. Short meditations and breathing techniques are also included in many vinyasa classes.

During the class you will build heat internally using breath and movement. This allows a balance of strength building and gaining flexibility through a dynamic flowing sequence. We will also focus on the breath and detoxifying the body. This class will give you the opportunity to challenge your body and mind, leaving you feeling balanced, refreshed and relaxed.

Yoga is for Everyone!

The class is suitable for all levels and abilities, Peaceful Pixie Yoga strongly believes that yoga is for everybody. You don’t need to be flexible either, as it’s a side effect of a consistent practice, not a requirement to start or a goal itself. It’s all about soulful movements led by breath and tuning into your flowing prana energy for this particular class. No experience necessary, everybody can participate. You just have to be willing to do something good for yourself.

Peaceful Pixie Yoga

My teaching style is fun, friendly, positive and energetic with a focus on correct alignment and avoiding injury. It’s structured in a way to connect mind, heart and body with uplifting energy and emphasis on the healing roots of yoga. My intention is to share yoga in an inclusive way, providing a space for students to explore and welcome all that arises throughout their practice, in order to harness a deeper sense of awareness through mind/body connection. In my classes you will find focus on the conscious breath and how to connect it with each meditative movement. I hope to take you on a journey of your own body, with no judgements, just complete acceptance of where you are in this particular moment. This will support you to experience and enjoy the journey of ‘the self’.
